Twin Cities Film Festival 2016
BY JASON RIESGRAF
It’s official. We did it. We got in! We are thrilled to announce that “LAKE RUNS RED” will have its WORLD PREMIERE at the TWIN CITIES FILM FESTIVAL in Late October!
A very special thank you to the Twin Cities Film Fest (TCFF) for this tremendous opportunity. We are honored that they have made us an official selection at this year’s 2016 festival. We are in great hands and are truly humbled they’ll be hosting our world premiere. Words can’t describe how excited I am for audiences to see everyone’s hard work projected on the big screen in October!
This is a full-circle moment for me. I remember attending the first TCFF in 2010 like it was yesterday. I had just graduated from film school and was looking to make industry connections. I met so many interesting and cool people there. They inspired me to think bigger. It may have been wishful thinking at the time, but I vowed that one day I’d have a film of my own in the festival.
For me, this has been an exciting and non-stop 5-year journey, filled with many noteworthy milestones. Acceptance into the TCFF is the culmination of my dream and a representation of everyone’s hard work and talent. I still can’t believe I started writing “Lake Runs Red” (originally titled Panic, if you recall) all the way back in October 2011, with pre-production starting February 2014.
Filmmaking is a collaborative medium. I am absolutely thrilled and so proud of everyone for their contributions, dedication, and friendship. I’d like to congratulate and thank the entire cast and crew, as well as our IndieGoGo supporters, press partners, friends, and of course the fans who are eagerly awaiting this picture. I’m so thankful that we have the opportunity to debut at the top festival of our choice.
This is a special moment for our little movie. And the we’re just getting started.
